How to Perform a Clean Install of OS X Mavericks
OS X Mavericks is officially out and ready for the public. It’s the latest OS X version from Apple and it comes with a heap of new features, including improved support for multiple displays, desktop versions of the Maps and iBooks apps, an improved Safari browser and much more. It’s available now in the Mac App Store for free.
While most users will be fine with the easy upgrade process that OS X has, some users prefer to start from scratch with a clean OS install whenever they’re upgrading to a new version. A fresh and clean install means your computer’s hard drive is completely erased and OS X Mavericks is installed to factory settings. This means that no apps are installed and no files are stored — just the default apps and files that come with OS X Mavericks.

Outlook 2013 with Gmail Using POP3 or IMAP
Outlook 2013 with Gmail (end of life for Exchange ActiveSync)
Posted on by Rushang
Integrating Outlook 2013 with Gmail just got a little more complicated. Google announced that they will cease support for Google Sync (which runs on Exchange ActiveSync technology) for new users on January 30, 2013. New Gmail accounts will not be able to use Exchange ActiveSync without a paid Google Apps account.
Here’s a workaround for integrating Outlook 2013 with Gmail.
1. Set up Outlook 2013 with Gmail IMAP to get email capabilities in Outlook.
A. Set up your Gmail acccount with IMAP.

Disable Autorun/Autoplay in Windows 7, Vista and Windows XP
Most of the time viruses come from pen drives and other media that we insert into our system. And Windows has a nice service called Autoplay that automatically detects the media and initiates it. As a result the viruses in the media infect our computer prior getting scanned from our Antivirus program. So we have a nice way to disable the Autoplay service and then we can scan the media first with our Antivirus and then use it.
Disable Autoplay In Windows Vista And Windows 7 :
1. Open Control Panel from the Start button. You will see a screen like below.
2. Click on Autoplay.

Restart Your Windows PC Faster
Nowadays we have only one button on our PCs and Laptops for starting or shutting down the PC. But on earlier Windows machines we used to have two buttons, one for the Shut Down and the other for Restart. This Restart button never closed any open application and thus was very fast. But in today’s systems if we Restart the computer with the Restart option, then it first closes all the open applications and then shuts down the computer, thus making it slow.
What’s The Problem And The Use ?
The button went missing but the feature is still there. Don’t know why Microsoft is hiding it. It is specially for those situations when an application is preventing Shutdown or you have saved all your work and need to restart your PC faster without Windows wasting time on closing applications. It is also helpful when a new software upon installation wants your system to be restarted.

Changing the Product Key for Office 2010 or Office 2013
Determine the Product Key with a 3rd party tool
Determining the used Product Key when using Office 2007 or previous isn’t directly supported by Microsoft. However, you can use a little program called Magic Jelly Bean Keyfinder to find out your used Product Key. Simply install and run the application to find out the Product Key (note: during the installation, there will be a prompt to also install a sponsored application which you can choose not to install).Another fee application which you can use is Belarc Advisor. This application does a bit more thorough scan of your computer for which it generates a report that also includes license keys for several of your installed applications. If you are in a large corporate network, you might want to disconnect your network connection as it will also try to build a network map which may cause the application to appear to hang at the “checking the local network of this computer” stage.

Have you ever encountered 'Shortcut viruses' on your flash drive/External Hard disk before?
If yes, then you should know how frustrating they can be.Well,as it is,just having an Anti-virus on a Computer system isn't protective enough, but occasionally updating it as new viruses are being made and spread each day.
Amongst these numerous viruses, there's this virus which is capable of changing/turning folders of extremely large MBs/GBs into small KBs and its often named “regsvr virus”(NOTE: Do not confuse it with the System file regsvr32 as they are two entirely different files.)
Like I mentioned above, when this virus strikes your Computer it automatically changes folders & sometimes files into a shortcut which can neither be opened nor run.
So,in this tutorial,I'll be giving some tips on 'how to get rid of these viruses on a system and retrieve your files back.
As there are `a thousand and one` fixes for this issue,I'll try as much as possible to give the easiest of them here.
So tighten your seat-belt and let's begin.
